We're turning 20! Celebrating Art and Community; that is the mission of the Cambridge Arts Council. Since 1996, when a small group of community neighbors gathered to dream of ways to inspire the arts in our region, we have hosted events to celebrate art and community. We’ve been dedicated to organizing, sponsoring, and supporting performances and presentations of various forms of art and to developing appreciation and understanding of the arts through events and arts education projects.

To celebrate, we are planning events to promote our mission. Please consider yourself warmly invited to:

Over the past two decades we have offered:

  • The Festival of the Arts, including an Emerging Artist Tent for youth

  • Smugglers’ Notch Heritage Winterfest

  • 4th of July Celebration (music)

  • Cambridge Book Club

  • Contra Dances

  • Poetry People

  • Cambridge Music Festival

  • Concerts and live entertainment events

  • Coffee House Music Events

  • Youth-based Programming, a Youth Advisory Council

  • Art Education at Cambridge Elementary School, including “Solving History’s Mystery through the Arts” programming

  • Mini-grants to support local performers, artists or non-profit organizations who share our mission

Thank you for being a part of an amazing twenty years!
