“The work, always was and still is deeply personal. Drawing and painting allows me to recognize and accept emotion, and experiences as a woman. The figures in my work are not idealized - they are imperfect, vulnerable and honest, depicting softness, tension and the complexity of being human. I never intended to share the art. What began as private expression unexpectedly formed connection, women began to see a reflection of themselves, over time, community grew”.

When We Gather is about the bond that grows when we meet each other fully - through pride, insecurity and curiosity alike.
